**Obituary for Willie Glover**

It is with both deep sorrow and immense gratitude that we announce the passing of Willie Glover, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who transitioned peacefully to his eternal rest on April 30, 2026, at the age of 96. Willie was born on October 24, 1929, in Butler, Alabama, where he dedicated his life to his family and his work as a Forestry Supervisor at American Can Paper Company.

Willie is remembered as a man of great strength and wisdom, known for his tireless spirit and warm heart. He cherished his family above all else, leaving behind his devoted wife, Mamie Glover, his loving daughters, Janet Glover, Marilyn Manning, and Lorraine McIlwain. His legacy also includes the joy he brought to his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

Services to honor Willie's remarkable life will be held as follows. There will be a public viewing at Weatherly Funeral Home on May 8, 2026, at 3:00 PM till 6:00PM, where friends and family will have the opportunity to pay their respects and celebrate the life of this incredible man. Following this, a funeral service will take place on May 9, 2026, at 12:00 PM, at Butler Chapel AME Zion Church, followed by his interment, where he will be laid to rest in Butler Chapel Cemetery.
