WILLIE 'Main Boy" DuBOSE, age 75, of Livingston, Alabama, born January 21, 1946 to the union of the late Viney Marion DuBose and Willie DuBose, Sr., transitioned and entered into eternal rest July 25, 2021 at Sumter Health and Rehabilitation, York, Alabama. He accepted Christ at an early age and united with First Baptist Church, under the pastorate of Rev. W. B. Foster where he always traveled with the church, being their pianist. He graduated from York West End School, later moving after graduation to Atlanta and then on to Chicago. As his health began to fail, his sister, nephew and niece, accompanied by driver, Mr. Roosevelt Carlisle, brought him safely back home to Alabama in 2013. We remain grateful to him and also to Shang's grandson Cordarus. Main Boy worked in the Airline's Airport Authority as a truck driver and for several years did other jobs within the healthcare industry. Mr. Willie "Main Boy" Dubose, Jr. leaves to celebrate his life and to cherish precious memories: his devoted sister, Carrie ("Sister Girl") Chapman, his niece, Ashley, his nephew Romon, Resi's very dedicated husband Charles Howard; many other nieces and nephews from Peoria, Illinois; close friends, Annie Maude Lightfoot, Margarette "Nicky" Amerson, Vicky Johnson, Willie Hatter and other friends who visited throughout the years. Service of Remembrance and Life Celebration will be Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Weatherly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Samuel Harris, pastor of Johnson Baptist Church, delivering the eulogy and offering expressions of comfort and consolation; along with Sister Iola Williams serving as Mistress of Order. Interment follows in Livingston City Cemetery, Main Boy being interred next to his mother - Viney DuBose. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Wednesday evening from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. To the entire DuBose Family, we at Weatherly Funeral Home offer to each of you our most sincere and heartfelt sympathy and condolences. Our prayer remains that your abiding faith in God will continue to strengthen, to comfort and sustain you during your time of sorrow. ***Note: Due to Covid concerns, we insist on everyone attending services, both visitation and funeral to wear your masks and practice safety precautions previously mandated by the CDC.***
