In the tapestry of life woven on December 10, 1986, in Detroit, Michigan, Tamika Joy Marquetta Matthews graced this world with her vibrant spirit. An Adored Mother, beloved daughter and cherished sister, she offered kindness to those around her and inspired many with her unwavering strength. Tamika's journey, though cut short on January 5, 2026, will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Tamika is survived by her three cherished sons, Joshua, Elijah, and Jordan Matthews, who were the heartbeats of her existence. Tamika also leaves behind her beloved mother, Cynthia Matthews; brothers, Mack Bealim and Mario Matthews, each of whom will carry her will hold her memory close, carrying forward her light.

The celebration of Tamika's life and legacy will unfold in the coming days. Family and friends will gather for a private viewing at Weatherly Funeral Home on Friday, January 16, 2026 at noon, A public viewing will follow at the same location, commencing at 2:00 PM, allowing all who loved her to pay their respects.

The journey will culminate with a heartfelt funeral service at First Baptist Church on January 17, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Together, we will honor Tamika's spirit, reflecting on the joy she brought into our lives, and she will find her eternal rest, immediately following service, in the serene grounds of Elmwood Memorial Gardens, York, Alabama. Repast will be held at the Livingston Civic Center after interment, where memories will be shared, love will be felt, and laughter will arise amidst tears.

In every sunrise and whispering breeze, Tamika's enduring spirit will be felt, a gentle reminder of the love and happiness she instilled in all of us. Though she has departed from our sight, she shall forever remain in our hearts.
