Sherrod Denise Wilson

SHERROD DENISE WILSON, age 55, of Cuba, Alabama, was born in Sumter County; Alabama, October 25, 1964 to the union of the late Lonnie Mae Wilson and Robert Amerson. She transitioned peacefully in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, September 21, 2020. Graveside Service of Memory and Life Celebration is slated for Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in Morning Star Cemetery, Dove 2 County Road, Cuba, Alabama. Rev. Coley Rodgers will deliver the eulogy and offer words of comfort and consolation; Rev. Wilson D. Wilson is pastor, Morning Star Baptist Church. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Friday evening, September 25, 2020 from 4-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. In her youth, she attended Sumter County High School. At an early age, Sherrod became a member of Morning Star Baptist Church, joining under the pastorate of Rev. Willie D. Wilson. Those who remain to cherish precious memories and to celebrate her life are: a loving son, Donte D. Wilson, Cuba, Alabama; a niece, Enjoli Wallace Kynard of Birmingham, Alabama; two aunts, Mary Alice Allen and Emma Townsend, a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who loved her dearly.
