Mary Alma Wilcox

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mary Alma Glover Wilcox, age 67, a beloved member of her community was born to the union of Willie and Mamie Davidson Glover on March 27, 1956. Mary's kindness and grace touched the lives of all who knew her. On March 1, 2024, she peacefully transitioned in Hattiesburg, Ms. at her nephew's residence and left this world, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever be treasured. Mary will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her surviving relatives: her devoted parents, her nephew Jermaine Glover, sisters, Janet Glover, Marilyn Manning, Lorraine McIlwain, and brother Emmanuel Roosevelt Jackson. Their lives have been forever changed by her presence and love. In honor of Mary's remarkable life, a Funeral Service will be held at Butler Chapel AME Zion on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 12:00 pm with pastor, Rev. Kennith S. Jefferson officiating offering words of inspiration, comfort and consolation. She will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. Friends, family, and all those touched by Mary's spirit are invited to come together to celebrate her life and legacy. Following the service, Mary will be laid to rest at Butler Chapel AME Zion Cemetery, 713 Desoto Rd, Butler, AL 36904. Mary Wilcox will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her, a beacon of light and love that will continue to shine bright even in her absence. May her soul find eternal peace and may her memory be a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
