Mary Givand Wade

MARY GIVAND WADE, age 95,  affectionately known as "Scrappy" of York, Alabama, formerly of Livingston, born to the Willie Givand and Sallie  Fitch Jackson, transitioned and entered into eternal rest July 13, 2018 at  4:34 p.m. in Rush Foundation Hospital, Meridian, Mississippi.  Service of Remembrance is Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from Shady Grove Baptist Church, 3839 Alabama Hwy. 28 East, Livingston.  Rev. John Powell, pastor, will deliver the eulogy and offer words of comfort and consolation;  with Sister Jerlinda Yates to serve as Mistress of Order.  Interment follows in Shady Grove Cemetery.  After the committal service, repast will be in the Fellowship Hall of the church. Sister Wade will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.  Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Wednesday evening (July 18th) from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel.  On Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. the processional leaves from Ms. Scrappy's Livingston residence, located 127 Tin Cup Alley.        Those who remain to cherish precious memories are:  Milton Jones who she raised as her son; her cousins - Jessie Mae King, Mattie Conley and Frank Fitch;  other cousins, relatives and friends who loved her dearly.       To the Wade Family, we at Weatherly Funeral Home, offer to each of you our most sincere and heartfelt sympathies and condolences.  Our prayer remains that your abiding faith in God will continue to comfort, to strengthen and sustain you during your time of bereavement.
