Mark Luke Thomas

Mark Luke (Thomas) Thompson, formerly of Cuba, Alabama, peacefully departed this life on September 02, 2026, in Demopolis, Alabama.

He was a loving son, brother, and uncle.

Mark was unable to attend school due to his mental disability but was able to learn basic skills through the ARC program.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, George W. Thompson Sr and Mariah Thompson; His siblings, George W. Thompson Jr., Anna Mae Adams (Fred Adams); twin sister Martha Mae Lawson and nephew Edward Charles Lawson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, brother-in-law Robert Lawson, his nieces and nephews, Joyce King, Fred Adams Jr., Ron Adams, Bernard Adams, Sandra Russell, Sabastian Adams, Terri Adams, Jacqueline Costict, Anna Adams, Dennis Lawson, Eric Lawson, Carol Baxter, Frederick Lawson and Sharon Nelson. Along with a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.

A funeral service will be held to honor Mark's life at Weatherly Funeral Home on September 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Kinterbish in Cuba, AL, at 2:15 PM. Family and friends are encouraged to join us for both the service and the burial.
