Linda Louise ARTIS

Ms. Linda Louise ARTIS, age 73 of York, Alabama was born to the Blessed union of the late Leroy and Katie Lee Dove Artis.  She peacefully transitioned to the will of God at Hill Hospital of Sumter County on September 27, 2026 at 7:06 a.m.  Service of Remembrance and Life Celebration is slated for Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, located 1000 US Highway 11, Cuba, AL with interment and service of Committal to follow in the adjacent Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.  Rev. Ronnie Walk (Pastor of Shady Gove Baptist Church, Quitman, MS) is to deliver the eulogy offering words of comfort and consolation;  Rev. James Granger is church pastor.  Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Friday evening, October 9th from 3-5:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel.  Sister Artis will not lie in repose, but the entire processional of ministers, casket and family will leave with escort from the residence with services beginning at 1:00 as originally done - BITD (Back in the Day)!  After the Committal, the family will Fellowship for repast at the Aspire Innovation Center, 408 Conti Street inside of the New City Hall Building, York, AL.
