Pastor Jonathan Byrd

PASTOR JONATHAN BYRD, age 75, of York, Alabama was born in Boligee; Greene County, Alabama, March 21, 1950 to the Blessed union of the late Lena Jemison and Joe L. Byrd, Sr.  He peacefully transitioned to the Will of God and entered into His Master's Joy on February 7, 2026 in Mobile, Alabama.  Service of Remembrance and Life Celebration is slated for Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. from First Baptist Church, 254 McConnell Street, York, Alabama where he was pastor.  Pastor Byrd will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.  Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Friday evening (Feb. 13th) from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Funeral Home Chapel. Other than the initial  immediate family viewing, there is to be NO PUBLIC VIEWING . Interment and site of Committal follows in the Byrd Family plot at St. Luke Cemetery, also Boligee..
