GEORGE CHATMAN, age 50, of Livingston, Alabama, born to Melvia Chatman in Tuscaloosa Alabama, transitioned and entered into eternal rest December 20, 2020 in Anderson Regional Medical Center, Meridian, Mississippi. Memorial Service and Life Celebration is slated for January 3, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Cokes Chapel Cemetery, Ward, Alabama. George moved and grew up in Decatur, Alabama. He attended the Alabama School for the Blind in Talladega, Alabama. He had the love and passion for wrestling where he competed, won and placed in many area tournaments. There he met and later married Juanita Watkins of Ward, Alabama and to this union one son Sebastian, was born. In the year 2000 he moved to Ward, Alabama joining Union Chapel CME Church, where he sang with the church's Male Chorus. Later he moved and attended Wesley Chapel CME, York, Alabama. Those who preceded him in death are his mom, Melvia Chatman; grandparents, Minnie Jackson and Benjamin Chatman; his two twin daughters and other relatives. Survivors who remain to cherish his memories and to celebrate his life are a dedicated son, Sebastian Chatman of Knoxville, Tn; Three (3) brothers, Ricky (Trish) Chatman and Terry Chatman of Huntsville AL., and Dwight Chatman of Mt. Pleasant, MI; a special friend, Lisa Tolliver; two best friends he calls brothers - Sam Larkin of York, AL. and Stanley McSwain of San Diego, Calif; two god daughters he claims as his own, Brittany Law and Kenisha Brown; two special aunts, Joyce Chatman and Aretha Chatman; a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and friends who will truly miss him. To the entire Chatman Family, we at Weatherly Funeral Home offer to you our most sincere and heartfelt sympathy and condolences.
