ELIZABETH ANN LIGHTFOOT JOHNSON, age 64, of York, Alabama, born in Bellamy to the late Cornelius and Juanita Ross Fluker, Jr. transitioned and entered into eternal rest January 12, 2018 at 11:44 p.m. at Brookwood Medical Center, Birmingham. Graveside Service of Remembrance with "military detail" is Thursday, January 18, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Elmwood Memorial Gardens, Highway 11-East, also York, Alabama. Rev. Wesley Winston, (pastor of Mt. Powell Baptist Church) will offer words of comfort and consolation. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Wednesday evening, January 17th from 4-7:00 p.m. with the 6-7:00 p.m. hour designated for the Order of Eastern Star Ceremony, where Sis. Ann was Worthy Matron for Mt. Mariah Chapter #779, OES; Secretary for District Council #2, OES and member of Mamie Johnson Chapter #159, also of OES. On Thursday afternoon at 12:40 the processional leaves from the Family home, located 203 Wrenn Street. "Ann" joined Mt. Powell Missionary Baptist Church on August 4, 1964 when she was 11 years old and remained a loyal, dedicated, active member until her passing. She received her early education in the Sumter county School System and pursued a nursing degree at Livingston University (now UWA). For over 25 years, she was employed at Hill Hospital as an LPN, later continuing her education becoming a Medical Coder. She as also a Notary Public. Ann served her country honorably in the US Army, earning the rank of E4. She was united in matrimony to Eddie Dean Lightfoot; and to this union were born three children. Later on she married Everett Johnson. Preceding her in death are: her sons, Phillip and Marcus Lightfoot; parents- Elmer Stallings, Sr., Juanita Ross Smith and Cornelius Fluker, Jr; grand parents: Ollis, Lorene Ross, Cornelius, Ophelia Fluker, and Joretta Stallings Spencer; Stepfather- Preston Smith, Brother, Leon Stallings; sister- Sandra Fluker and granddaughter, Phyllis L. Lightfoot. Left with cherished memories and to celebrate a beautiful life are: a devoted and loving daughter, Temeka L. Brown; six brothers: Fred (Carrie) Ross, Elmer (Donna) Stallings, Jr., Johnny D., Lawrence, Walter L. (Ann Marie) Stallings, Edward (Bertha) Dunigan, four sisters: Virginia Hawkins, Lucy Steele, Berlinda S. Hood, and Ophelia Stallings; three grandchildren - Janna Lightfoot, Bernard Johnson, Jr., and Malik Lightfoot and four great grandchildren; a host of Uncles, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, numerous Co-Workers and Friends who loved her dearly and truly she will be missed by all who knew her.
