DANIELLE COLEMAN ARTIS, age 38, of Ralph, Alabama, born November 12, 1984 in York; Sumter County, Alabama to the union of the late J. D. and Gwendolyn Sturdivant Coleman. She peacefully transitioned and entered into eternal rest September 7, 2023 at 1:25 p.m. at DCH Regional Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Graveside Service of Remembrance and Life Celebration is slated for Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 12:00 noon from Gaston Valley Cemetery, off of County Road 10, Ward, Alabama with pastor Rev. Kenneth Bell, delivering the eulogy, offering words of comfort and consolation. Sister Stacye Coleman is to serve as Mistress of Order. Visitation for Family and Friends is scheduled for Friday evening, September 15,2023 from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. On Saturday morning, the processional leaves from Weatherly Funeral Home at 11:20 a. m. for the cemetery. After the committal service, repast will be held at the Broad Street Grill, downtown York, Alabama. Danielle's Sunrise in Christ began at an early age when she was baptized and joined Gaston Valley Baptist Church. She graduated from Sumter County High School in 2003. She furthered her education and graduated from Meridian Community College earning her degree as a (LPN) Licensed Practical Nurse. Those who have preceded her in death are her beloved parents. She leaves to cherish precious memories and to celebrate a beautiful well-lived life; a loving and loyal husband, Christopher Samuel Artis; three children - Laila Kamora Young, LaTroy Maurice Young and Kristen De'ona Artis; four siblings - Fredrick Tremaine (Kanita) Sturdivant, York, AL, Sheree Dante Sturdivant (John) Watkins, Cuba, Al. Ashley Washington, York, Al. and Jasmine Renee Coleman of Tuscaloosa, AL; a loving and nurturing aunt Edna Joy Coleman, a supportive mother-in-law, Mattie Artis, her best friend Jana DuBose, a friend, Tamika Bishop of Birmingham, Al: three dedicated cousins, Jamie Kentrell and Cedrick Diwayne Sturdivant and Keyatta Crenshaw Coleman, supportive cousin Stacye Coleman Sampson; three god children - Demetria, Kaleiyah and Mariah DuBose and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends who loved her dearly and whom she also loved.
