DAMANI RAYSHUN BOLLAR, age 45, of Cuba, Alabama, affectionately known as "Mocho" was born on May 13, 1979 to Ms. Bobbie Jean Goodwin and Mr. Raymon Harmon. Immediately upon his birth, he was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, which he endured throughout his life. Damani accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and joined Grants Chapel C. M. E. Church where he was a member until his last day. Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. from Grants Chapel C.M.E. Church, 5290 Kinterbish 10, Cuba with Rev. Izea Blanks, pastor, offering words of comfort and consolation; with Sis. Lenora Brown serving as Mistress of Order. Mocho will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. Interment follows in Cagus Cemetery. Afterwards, family and friends will have repast in the Grants Chapel Fellowship Hall. Visitation for Mocho is scheduled Friday evening (June 28th) from 3-5:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. Damani departed his earthly life and entered into God's Heavenly Kingdom on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 8:43 a.m. while at home with his loving mother in Cuba, AL. Damani attended school at Livingston Jr. High School. After completion of school, Damani spent most of his time at home with his loving mother, brothers, late aunt and his grandmother He was preceded in death by his oldest brother; one sister; four (4) great grandmothers; three (3) great grandfathers; his grandmother; two (2) grandfathers, and aunt and uncles. Those who remain to cherish his precious memories and to celebrate a beautiful life are: his caring, loving mother, Bobbie Goodwin; his father, Raymon Harmon, both of Cuba, AL., his brothers - Demetrius (Tracy) Bollar, Dothan, AL., and Rapheal (Jameelah) Bollar of Atlanta, GA; his sister, Ramona Washington; Grandmother, Erma Bollar, uncles - John (Betty) Bollar and Gregory Bollar of Cuba, AL., Edward (Michelle), Detroit, MI., James (Shelia) Portis, Parkland, FL., Luther Portis and Torris Portis of Boston, MA; aunts - Alice Portis-Patterson, Racine, WI., Dawn (Shaun) Portis-Webb, Boston, MA; and Barnette Sturdivant of Mobile, AL; Special Cousin, Torrey Bollar; God-mother, Dernice Johnson; special caregivers; Soyan Jemison and Bobby Palmore, both of Cuba, AL., and a host of other special cousins, family members and friends who loved him dearly..
