CURTIS L. ('Sonny") LARD, age 71, of the Morning Star Community of Cuba, Alabama was born in Lauderdale County, Mississippi September 7,1949 to the union of the late Albert and Velma Horn Lard. Sonny entered into eternal rest May 26, 2021 at Regency Hospital, Meridian, MS. Graveside Service of Remembrance and Life Celebration is slated for Saturday, June 5, 2021 in Pack Cemetery, Lauderdale at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Willie Wilson, pastor of Morning Star Baptist Church, Cuba, officiating. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled from the Weatherly Funeral Home Chapel, June 4th from 4-6:00 p.m. Those who remain to cherish precious memories are: three (3) sisters, Mamie Tanksley, Chicago, IL, Mary (Ben) Walker, Cuba, AL. and Bernice (Daniel) Jones of Waynesboro, MS; two (2) brothers, Otis Lard, Chicago, IL and Ben lard, Lawrenceville, GA. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends who loved him dearly and whom he also loved.
