Cecola Delaine

CECOLA DELAINE, age 76, of York, Alabama, formerly a resident of Atlanta, Georgia, was born May 6, 1947 in Cuba; Sumter County, Alabama to the union of the late Lugusta and Ethel Larkin Delaine. On November 1, 2021 Cecola became ill and was under the care of her sister Jerry. With her health continuing to fail she was eventually admitted to Sumter Health and Rehabilitation Center where she transitioned and entered into eternal rest on November 11, 2023. Service of Remembrance and Life Celebration is slated for Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 5051 Kinterbish 10, Cuba. Rev. C Wayne Davis is church pastor with Rev. Walter Ball delivering the eulogy to offer words of comfort and consolation. From 10:00 a.m. until funeral time, this will be the designated "Family Hour". Afterwards, interment will follow in the Delaine family plot of Cagus Cemetery, also off of Kinterbish 10. The family will receive friends for Repast in Zion Hill's Fellowship Hall. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Friday evening (Nov. 17th) from 2-5:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. Cecola is preceded in death by their parents; siblings - Charles Larkin, William (Bill) Delaine, John, Orcie, and Maxine Delaine and Mary Ruth Delaine-Coleman. And those who remain to celebrate a beautiful well-lived life and to cherish precious memories are: three siblings - Viree (Dennis) Bivens, Windsor, CT., Earnest Delaine, Fayetteville, GA., Jerry (Johnny) Patrick, Whitfield, AL; two special nieces Ja'Net Hudson and Alexis Heyward; two special nephews - Mitchell Coleman, Jr. and Tyrone Delaine and an additional host of nieces, nephews, and family whom she loved dearly.
