Allen David Lard, Jr.

Brother Allen David Lard, Jr; affectionately known by many as "A.D. Lard" was born to the Blessed union of the late Bro. and Sis. Allen David and Janie Ann Fowler Lard, Sr. on May 4, 1941.  He peacefully transitioned to the will of God surrounded by loving family at the residence of his daughter, Carla on May 7, 2026 at 11:17 a.m.  Service of Remembrance and Life Celebration is slated for Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church, located 401 Sumter 27, Cuba.  Rev. P. S. Jenkins is church pastor;  Rev. Robert Pearce Jr (Pastor of Eastern Star Baptist Church, York ,AL) will deliver the eulogy offering words of encouragement and comfort to the bereaved Lard Family.  Interment follows in the adjacent Oak Grove Cemetery.  Bro. Lard will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.  Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Friday evening (May 15th) from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel.
