MS. ALICE MAE BROWN, age 64, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, formerly of Livingston; Sumter County, Alabama, was born to the union of Robert Perry Coleman and Sadie Lee Crockett on January 17, 1959. She peacefully transitioned September 16, 2023 at DCH Regional Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, surrounded by loving family. Service of Remembrance and Life Celebration is slated for Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from Shiloh Baptist Church, 305 Nelson R. Hughes Drive, Livingston with pastor, Rev. Dwayne Crockett delivering the eulogy offering words of comfort and consolation. Sis. Darla Spencer will serve as Mistress Of Order. Sister Brown will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. Interment follows in Prospect Cemetery, 2928 Bluffport 21, also Livingston. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Friday evening (Sept. 22nd) from 3-6:00 p.m. in the Weatherly Chapel. On Saturday afternoon, the processional leaves the residence of Shirley Porter, (in the Pine Grove Community) 455 Hines Road, on the York route. Those who have preceded her in death are: her parents, her baby daughter of a few days, LaSadie Brown, a sister, Everlena Coleman and two brothers, John Henry Holloway and Wilbert Brown. Alice Mae leaves to cherish precious memories of a beautiful well-lived life: her special friend, Kelvin Collins; her children, Clyde Brown, Lashan (Lyle) Brown Jones, Latoria Brown, Lanika Brown, Cordell (Yasmeen) Brown, Carvell Brown and LaDreekicus Collins, the grandson that she raised as her own; thirteen (13) other grandchildren; three great grandchildren, siblings; Shirley Porter of Livingston, AL, Cennie (Stacy) Jackson, Butler, AL, Eddie (Lillie) Crockett, York, AL., Edward Crockett, Pennington, AL., Pauline Farmer, Bessemer, AL., Arnetta Childers and Gwendolyn Lard, both of Livingston, Alabama; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will truly miss her.
