Mae Belle Chaney, age 62, of Ward, Alabama, born to the late Thomas ("Osie") and Bessie Lee Ausbrooks, entered into eternal rest late Thursday night, January 26, 2017 at Choctaw General Medical Center, Butler, Alabama.  Service of Remembrance will be Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00 AM from St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 1225 Shorts 15 Ward, AL 36922.  Rev. Pettis Lockett is church pastor; with Rev. Gregory Sanders delivering the eulogy and offering words of comfort and consolation. Interment to follow in the adjacent St. John cemetery.  After the committal service, the repast and Fellowship is in the Progressive Life Family Center, 110 Fourth Avenue (Hwy. 11) York.   Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Friday evening (Feb. 3rd) from 3-6:00 PM  in the Weatherly Chapel.  On Saturday morning, the processional leaves the Chaney residence at 10:40 a.m.         Those who remain to celebrate her life and to cherish precious memories are:  her son, Antoine Chaney, a daughter, LaTaya Chaney Fluker, (4) brothers; Michael (Pamela) Brooks, Thomas (Sheryl) Ausbrooks, David (Linda) Brooks, and Eddie (Michelle) Brooks; (6) sisters; Bessie (Rickey) Maye, Janice (Rev.Ronald) Chaney, Cynthia (Michael) Hughes, Elizabeth (Walter) Gardner, Brenda Toodle, and Gloria (Robert) Mitchell; seven (7) grandchildren; Gregory Mondale Walker, Jr., Capri’Antoine Vallicourt-Chaney, Antiomeia Chaney, Ignatius Robert D’Angelo Fluker, Robreauna D’Angelis Fluker, Ian Robert Asthin Fluker, and Ethan Robert Aaron Fluker, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.        To the Chaney family, especially her son and daughter, Antoine Chaney and LaTaya Chaney Fluker, we at Weatherly Funeral Home offer to each of you our most sincere and heartfelt sympathy and condolences.  Our prayer remains that your abiding faith in God will continue to comfort, to strengthen and sustain you during your most profound time of sorrow.
