DAVID SAM GILES, age 84, of Epes, Alabama, affectionately known as "Mane", born to the late Berry and Ora Dee Alexander Giles, passed at his residence July 29, 2016.  Service of Remembrance is Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from Morning Star Baptist Church, 70 Pine Street, Bellamy, Alabama.  Mr. Giles will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.  Rev. Tyrone Thomas will deliver the eulogy and offer words of consolation;  Rev. Calvin Finch is church pastor. Sister Edna Coleman-Brown serving as mistress of order.  Interment follows in Lillie's Chapel AME Cemetery, 7515 Highway 17-South, York, Alabama.  After the committal service, repast is in the Fellowship Hall of Morning Star.  On Friday evening (August 5th) from 3-6:00 p.m., visitation for family and friends is scheduled in the Weatherly Chapel, with the 5-6pm hour designated for the Wake. The processional leaves from Weatherly Funeral Home, located 1575 East 4th Avenue, York, Alabama, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday morning.       "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us:  "Mane" Giles leaves to cherish his memories - five (5) sisters; Beatrice Giles and Bobbie Giles Wilson, Detroit, MI., Rosie Giles Cook and Bettie Giles, E. Point, GA., Scythia Ann Rodgers, York, AL., and Vanessa Watson of Epes, AL;  two (2) brothers-John Berry Giles, Elyria, OH., Andrew Jack Giles, Toledo, OH; two devoted nephews - LaRalle Jamar Giles, Epes, AL and Willie "DJ" Watson, Tuscaloosa, AL;  one (1) aunt, Mattie Giles Chaney, Bellamy, Al., and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him dearly and truly he will be missed.       To the Giles Family, the Weatherly Funeral Home Family extends to each of you our most sincere and heartfelt sympathy and condolences.  Our prayer remains that your abiding faith in God will continue to comfort, to strengthen and sustain you during your many hours of sorrow.
