Roberta A. Griggs

    ROBERTA A. GRIGGS, age 64, of Gainesville, Alabama, born to Sears Roebuck and Annie Jane DeGraffenreid Amerson, Sr., passed  December 9, 2015 at Greene County Health Center, Eutaw, Alabama.  Service of Remembrance will be Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 12:00 noon from Zion Valley Missionary Baptist Church, Panola.  Rev. Marvin Washington, Sr., pastor will deliver the eulogy and offer words of consolation.  Sis. Griggs will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time. Interment follows in Zion Valley Cemetery.  Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Friday evening (Dec. 18th) from 3-6:00 pm with the 5-6:00 pm hour designated for the Wake and the OES ceremony.     She's leaves to cherish her precious memories; Husband Kelvin L. Griggs Sr, Five children; Christine Amerson(Ronnie) and Kelvia L. Griggs both of Gainesville AL;John Amerson(Ronika); Billy Palmer Jr.(Tasha);Kelvin L. Griggs Jr. (Dominique) of Tuscaloosa  AL; Ten siblings Clara Wilson of Durham, NC; Peter Wilson Sr.(Ann) of Mt. Vernon, NY;Rose Jones(Charlie), Charles Ann Durrell(Earnest) Mary Ann all of Chicago, IL; Sears Roebuck Amerson Jr.(Joyce) of Adamsville, AL; Odell(Para) of Demopolis, AL; Annie L. Amerson of Gainesville, AL; Eddie Amerson Sr.(Wanda) of Bellamy, AL; Levi Amerson Sr.(Delores)Tuscaloosa, AL; Six grandchildren; Resha Amerson, Javalon Amerson , Janay Amerson, Kelvin L. Griggs III, Cory T.
