Shirley Miller Thomas

       SHIRLEY A. MILLER THOMAS, age 69, of York, Alabama, affectionately known as "Gal", born to the late S.L. and Violet Miller, passed June 6, 2015 at Anderson Regional Medical Center, Meridian, Ms.  Service of remembrance is June 13, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. from Eastern Star Baptist Church, 112 Curl Road, in the Grant City Community of York.  Rev. C. H. Delaine, pastor, will deliver the eulogy and offer words of consolation.  Sister Thomas is to lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.  Interment follows in Ward Chapel Cemetery, Ward, Alabama.  Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Friday evening (June 12th) from 3-6:00 p. m. in the Weatherly Chapel.         Those left to cherish precious memories are:  three children- Jessie (Brenda) Thomas, of Jackson, Ms. Shelia Thomas, and Michael (Angel) Thomas, both of York, Al;   three sisters-Sharon Miller, York, Ala., Eunice (Roland) Mitchell, Virginia Beach, Va., and Sallie Jemison of Cuba, Ala;  three brothers- Charlie Miller, Myrtle, Ms., Johnny (Betty) Miller of York, Ala., and Thomas (Elizabeth) Miller of Elgin, Ill;  eleven (11) grandchildren; eight (8) great grandchildren;  one aunt, Sebell Rodgers of Ward, Ala., and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who will surely miss her and loved her dearly.  She was further preceded in death by a child; four (4) brothers, Eugene, Ambrous and Frank Miller and Wiley Childs.       To the Miller and Thomas family, we at Weatherly Funeral Home offer to each of you our most sincere and heartfelt sympathy.
